Taylor is 1!

Hi Everyone,
Well I haven't posted in 6 months so I figured it was time for an update....not that anyone really looks anymore.
Taylor turned one on Friday! and I can't believe that one year has gone by. She took a few steps at the beginning of last week and is now walking all over the place...slowly, but deliberately. We got her a little battery powered 4 wheeler for her birthday and she has no problem pushing the switch and going all over the place but she has not figured out the steering AT ALL. It'll come with time. Thanks SO MUCH to everyone that sent gifts. We took photos of her opening each present and I'll post them later. Now that I am settled in here, I will try posting once every one or two weeks.

Denver/Utah Trip

Hi Everyone,

Well I had my trip to Denver and Vernal Utah the week before last. It was a great visit and at the end of the trip, the manager up there decided to let me fly Andrea and Taylor out to see if they liked the area. After more discussion this week we all talked and they stated that the best area for me to live in to be effective at the job would be Rifle Colorado, which is a beautiful little town nestled into the mountains. (See map below)

It was pretty cold and snowed a good bit while I was there, but I have been told that they do want me for the job (project manager) and all I am waiting on now is a salary offer. If its good enough, then we'll probably be going.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Well, another holiday is done with....and I think it was a great success! Here is a photo of Taylor hanging out by all of the wrapped gifts and also spending some time with the dogs...in this picture she may even be pushing Buttercup's face.

Taylor has also recently begun supplementing breast feeding with some rice cereal. The first face she made after her first bite was priceless, and of course I missed it with the camera but here is a photo of her eating away... mmmmm

Here are a couple of photos from our trip to the Texas State Aquarium here in Corpus as well. We had an eventful week. Carrie, Moss & Logan came down last week and then Cameron and Megan came down for the weekend. It was great seeing everyone. Alexandra and Jeff are coming down on Thursday and we can't wait to see them!

I hope this finds everyone well (if anyone even looks anymore)! I am off to Denver on Sunday for a week and very well may be transferring to Grand Junction, CO if they price is right! I'll know more next week and I'll certainly keep everyone updated.

It's been a LONG TIME

Alrighty people, it's been about two months since I've posted...but here I am, getting it done in late Nelson style. Things are great here, Taylor is smiling like crazy now and attempting to talk up a storm. Her favorite times of day are by far, first thing in the morning and bath time. We are at the point now where she doesn't bathe until after she poops...it just saves so many problems haha. Andrea and Taylor are in Harlingen today visiting Grandpa Rick and I am at home doing homework and watching football. Here are some recent pics.

Vacation 07

Hi Everyone!
We JUST got home from our wonderful vacation. We went to dad's lake house for a few days in Pennsylvania and then drove down to mom's in Virginia and had a wonderful time before we headed off to Akron OH to see Chrystel, Rich and their two kids and our last stop was Rockford, IL to see Andrea's grandparents. The trip was wonderful with perfect weather every single step of the way (until the drive home). I'm tired so I'm going to keep this short and I will put up more photos when I get them off of the digital camera.

It's been a while....

Hi everyone!
Sorry I haven't posted in so long, its been a busy few weeks! Since I came back from Houston, a lot of people have come to town! Shannon, and then Cameron and Meagan came down last weekend and it was great to see all of them. Shannon will be a mom in about 2 months so I loved getting to see her before she becomes too busy to visit for a while! Taylor is growing like a weed and becoming more alert every day. Andrea has left me alone with her twice now and I feel this sense of panic rush over me whenever she walks out the door...and I feel the urge to act like it was "no big deal" whenever she walks back in, even if it did feel like an eternity for her to get back home. The good thing is, I'm getting better at this daddy business....I'm learning how to calm her down and warm up the milk and feed her and most importantly....how to change the diaper FAST before she can poop or pee on me. Anyways here are a few new pictures. I hope everyone is doing great!

Updated Pictures

Here are a few pictures from Carrie, Moss and Logan's visit and one photo of Taylor. Everything is going great. Taylor has gained about 3 lbs since she was born...she had to go to the Dr. yesterday because she has a case of stuffiness but other than that she's fine.
